Should I take a Subject test?

Hello everyone.

I am in the last quarter of my Junior year and I need to take all these important tests and what not. I took my first SAT ever yesterday (May 2) and I didnt feel I did so well. I had been preparing for like 3 months everyday studying. I want a minimum score of 2000 but I know I am did not score anything near that this SAT. Since it was my first one, I got really nervous and I spent too much time on simple problems. I didnt finish my essay and I didn’t finish a couple in reading writing and math although they were really easy. I have 2 more test dates this year (June and October) since I am an international student and I cant decide whether to take Subject tests or not. I’ve read that these are very important when applying to colleges but i dont know if they are as important as the SAT reasoning. I plan to apply to some good, competitive universities but not any IV’s or those that are impossible to get into. IF i take the Subject Test, it would be this June and it would probably be the math Lvl 2. The Pros of taking it: - if I do well it will look really good in my app - SOME colleges require it. Cons: -the precalc teacher in my school is terrible. I have’nt learned anything this whole year and If I wanted to pass the test I would need to study. I want to take thw SAT reasoning again in October because I have summer break to study. The good thing about taking the reasoning test in June is that it could be good practice and I might even get a good score, and that it might be easier than the other months.

Any advice?
