The BC test has an AB subscore anyway, so there's no point in taking the AB and BC (although you're not even allowed lol).

So what are you guys recommendations for the prep book (I'm gonna be taking AB and self studying BC).

We have so far:

PR - 2
Petersen - 1

I'm interested in actually understanding calculus and not just getting a 5 on the BC exam.

Amazon.com: Be Prepared for the AP Calculus Exam: Mark Howell, Martha Montgomery: Books

This is a PHENOMENAL book! I enjoy math, so I was able to get through the entire review in about a week. If your calculus class is anything like mine was, your teacher will over-emphasize on diffentiation and integration techniques. These are essential for the exam, but we didn't get to many sample AP free responses or multiple choice. I was able to learn the things my teacher didn't cover in enough detail (FTC II, particle motion, etc.) I HIGHLY recommend this book.

Thanks james. I'm reading the reviews for it on Amazon and it looks to be pretty good. Anyone else use it and want to comment?

yea...its doable...
i know ppl at our school who were self studying for calc bc tests wen they were in precalc =O
lol...yea just buy lots of prepbooks and TI 89 [=

I like Barron's a lot. A little bit of overkill, but the practice is second to none.

What did you decide on getting? Does it work well with your situation?
