So I’m really dreading taking American Heritage. History/government always had the hardest concepts to grasp in high school (except for maybe biology). Anyway, with all of the reading assignments, tests, projects, etc., I’m considering taking it as a BYU Independent Study course. Has anyone here taken American Heritage as an Independent Study course? How is it?
My daughter took several BYU courses, mostly PE and health, but not that one. You should be able to see the syllabus on the website to get an idea of the academic expectations. The courses are reasonably priced and quite well designed. If you can afford it, you could start the class now, and if you find you don’t like the format or whatever, you could take it at school after all.
