Hey huys im going to be junior and i can not decide if i should take ap ush or not. My friends who took apush told me its really hard and takes lots of time. Thing is that if i dont take apush, i have to take regular ush. My schedule for next year is. ApBio ApCalAB. HonorsEng HonorsChem. Tofel/SAT prep. And ApUsh or general. I want to keep good GPA and i'm international so i have to take tofel/sat prep

Do you like history? I don’t, so I chose American Studies II. (Where I live, students take American Studies I in the eighth grade. It’s really like Honors APUSH, but they decided to make everything tie together) You don’t have to if you don’t want to. AP Biology and AP Calculus AB is a lot of work anyway lol. Take it if YOU feel like you absolutely need it.

At my school the actual class was a lot of essays and memorization but the test wasn’t too hard. If you like history I would go for AP! If it’s not one of your strong points I would go with regular.
Why doesn’t your school give you Honors though? Does it not fit in your schedule or something?

Like Fantasy said, AP Biology and AP Calculus are enough work on their own. Personally, I really enjoyed APUSH because I felt like it was the first history class that I had where I actually learned something. Although, I am a bit of a history nut and we also had a very good teacher. It is a lot of work, but as said, the AP exam is EASY! So, it’s all up to you. I would say to take it because what do you have to lose? But, that’s just me. :)
