Should i take Computer Science with no previous experience

hmm would it be smart to take computer science classes at ga tech with no prior experience. I mean i know how to use a computer but i don't know like all that technical jargon or javascript or coding or whatever else you need to know

I am taking a senior computer science class at my high school right now (no idea about tech). I guess it would really depend on what you look to get out of the class. For example, in my class we pretty much learn how to program graphics or mathematical computation using a program called “Processing.” I think a solid background in a couple of languages would be a good idea. Never programming before and just walking into a comp-sci class could be kind of overwhelming.

lol ya maybe i should learn during summer but idk what to learn

Every college has Computer Science intro classes assuming no prior knowledge

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using CC

nice but is what is difficulty level? easy medium hard

The difficulty level will always depend upon your aptitude. Some students will find introductory classes easy and others difficult. Those intro classes serve two puposes: 1) provide CS students with a broad exposure to CS concepts to introduce them to the general subject, and 2) provide enough of an introduction that those students who are trying out the major can decide whether to pack it in and switch to something else. Note: general comment regarding any intro class not specifically with regards to GT.

I used a website called Chortle and Khan academy to teach myself some basic coding. i think you should be alright if you’re good with logic. That’s all coding is it’s logic and math.
