<p>I'm just going to be honest: as a senior in my 2nd semester, my main motivation for taking an AP exam at this point is to test out of college class requirements. Last year I took the AP Lang. & Composition exam and scored a 5. I also don't plan on being an English major in college. With all that said, is it necessary for me to also take the AP. English Lit. exam? I guess a related question would be what exactly does AP Eng. Lang. and/or AP English Lit. test me out of in college? </p>
<p>Eng. exams aren't subsidized where I'm from so I'm only willing to pay 100+ bucks to take English Lit. if it's not redundant.</p>
