Should I take Finite Mathematics?

Hi guys.

I am an incoming sophomore majoring in finance at a small public college in Missouri. I am almost certain that I will transfer to either Lehigh University, University of Richmond, Bentley University or University of Missouri in the fall of 2015.

I had considered taking finite mathematics and business statistics this fall, but I wondered if the former is necessary.

Originally, I was going to transfer to University of Missouri, so I started taking the math classes finance majors are required to take. They are: college algebra, business calculus, finite mathematics, business statistics I, and business statistics II.

I have already taken first two and did well in them. My current college requires either college algebra or finite mathematics.

I'm afraid that if I get accepted as a transfer student to Bentley, UR, or Lehigh, finite math won't transfer and I would have been better off taking art history or philosophy.

The colleges also don't seem to have an equivalent course.

What should I do?

Thanks for your help!

You should first check, if possible, which of those schools do accept finite math.

If the finite math you are talking about is discrete math or linear algebra, then it MAY transfer over, as both those classes are quite common.
