Should I Take Honors Chemistry or AP Physics C??

So going into my senior year I'm faced with the trade off of taking Honors Chemistry or AP Physics C. I haven't taken any chemistry course in high school officially but I've taken the proficiency test (midterm and final) for honors chemistry and scored a B but i don't want it to show on my transcript because it will make my average go down; I have also taken the 1st semester of chemistry + lab at the community college and got As in both.
So my question now is what should I do and is it possible to send in my college transcript?
Will not having taken chemistry in high school officially hurt my chances of getting in?

It depends on your planned major. If planning to major in mechanical engineering or a heavy physics or math major, I would recommend AP Physics. If you want to go into bioengineering, chemical engineering, or chem related fields, I would take AP Chem. You can also look online for the requirements for each major. It may be more beneficial for you to take one over the other to get out of something in college.
I know as a Mechanical Engineering major at Penn I would have to take intro to Chemistry if I did not have AP credit.
And Yes! have your community college send a transcript. You may get credit at Penn for that. Also, at the start of the year as a freshman, you can take placement tests to test out of Chemistry.
Overall, depending on your major, I would recommend Physics because you have already taken a Chemistry class at the community college.

Physics C, no choice about this one.

What Keasbey said. Physics.

yeah, Penn is all about the APs. If you took like 15 APs you’re basically in…

I was in the same boat as you, well, tangentially. I didn’t really take chemistry in HS but rather a one-semester deal of General Chem. at a local CC, but still managed to get by on the AP.

Taking C is pretty tough and doing well will probably get a nod from the adcom. You should take it.
