Should I take my 3rd year of foreign language?

I want to just drop it. Is this ok if I'm applying to elite schools?

No, you really need the third year. Many recommend four. Have fun!

I have a question along the same lines..

I have only taken three official "years" of a foreign language but I've gone through French I-AP, I made a three on the AP French exam, and I have exhausted all the possible French classes at my school. Do I still need to take another year of foreign language?

u dont have to because it is only mandatory for 3 years of the same language, but more of practically evrything is recommended

so it is not required to take four years right? (i am taking three years) i don't really want to take the AP Spanish exam

MIJEHAR, it really depends if you have three years in the SAME language or not. For example, I think it is worthless to have 2 years of Spanish and 1 year of French. You need three years in French or three years in Spanish total. That is what ur asking righT?

Just take three or four years of the same language. Two years doesn't look that great. Some elite schools don't have any *officially required" courses in order to promote flexibility and creativity. But 3-4 is always recommended.

Go for three years of the same language - some schools require three, others just two.
