I am currently taking AP Biology in my school and am self-studying APES (since there's so much overlap btw the two subjects). I have read some threads regarding APES and Biology E from before. People mostly talked about how only taking APES and high school biology is not enough since Biology E only has 15 questions about ecology and the rest are general biology. But since I am taking both AP Bio and APES this year....it would be easier for me to take SAT ll Biology E right?

bump

It would honestly depend on what you think your strongest area of bio is. If you did well in AP Bio (especially genetics/the labs) then I would say M. I also heard from the May SAT takers that there were some questions on E that were really specific taxonomic wise, and the curve is better on M in general.
Personally I am taking E because I didn’t do so well in the molecular part of AP Bio, and APES was my strongest subject overall. (Also, sorry if I’m too late and you already took it, I’m taking it June 7th and stumbled upon this, haha)

Thanks for answering. I haven’t taken it yet. I’m going to take it November. I’m still unsure which test to take but I’m leaning for towards E. Hope you did well on your exam :)
