I'm currently having trouble scheduling all of my testing that needs to be done around all of the other things I have going on. Especially when it comes to the SATs. My original plan was to take the SAT I in March, and SAT Subject Tests in May. However, I found out that my state's solo and ensemble competition is being held on the March date, and the May date I have to miss due to another commitment. The June tests are out of the question since I'll be in Ireland on a class trip then. As far as other testing, I will have completed the ACT twice by the end of my junior year, and since I will have that test, the SAT I may not be necessary (I'm not planning on applying to any Ivy Leagues). I'm still very interested in taking the Subject Tests though. Would I be ok to take them at the earliest date possible in October of 2014? It would be my senior year, and I'm not sure when I'll need to have all of my applications done. I'm planning on applying to Carnegie Mellon for physics, so it would be in my best interest to have the Math II and Physics subject tests submitted. Would senior year be an ok time to take the tests, or should I try and squeeze them in before the end of my junior year?

I took my subject tests October of senior year with no problem. Just check the application deadlines for CM. You should be fine.
