<p>Hey originally i got a 2030 on the sat's with a 1400 m/v. I set up my college list based on these scores..... But I just got my november scores and saw a 2170 overall wit a 1540 m/v. 1540 looks amazing, but 2170 not so much. Do you think I should take the test on standby (did some studying) and improve my writing scores (applying to mostly top colleges/ivy's)?</p>
<p>Only thing im worried about is droppin significantly on either math or verbal</p>

<p>If you don't take it...
1) You'll waste money
2) You'll never know if you could've done better</p>
<p>If you take it and do better...
1) You'll have spent the money wisely
2) You'll have improved your score!</p>
<p>If you take it and don't do better...
1) You'll have wasted the money, but at least
2) You'll know that you didn't miss an opportunity to improve</p>
<p>Take it.</p>
<p>Remember: colleges almost always look at the best math/CR/writing combined.</p>
<p>writing doesnt count, but waste your time anyway.</p>
