Should i take these AP Classes

Wondering what to take next year (junior year)

All the courses next in line are AP for every subject

AP Chem
AP Calc BC
AP Micro
APUSH
AP English
AP Spanish

Is this okay and doable? I only took three this year and it was really doable. I’m one of those people who can handle a lot of work and do well, but still are 6 AP’s sane or crazy?

6 is kind of pushing it, especially if you’re trying to manage all of these with AP Chem. I’m taking Chem this year, and I am struggling to find enough time for it with AP Stats and APUSH. Consider what your schedule is like. Do you have any ECs you participate in that may make this schedule even tougher? What do you want to major in? For example, if you are more STEM oriented, maybe drop a humanities-related AP like APUSH.

I took the exact same classes, except AP Spanish was AP Physics 1 and we did AP Micro and Macro at the same time. It was doable for me and I didn’t work that hard, just know when to ask for help from teachers. It’s always different on a case by case basis, but if three was pretty easy it’s not a sharp increase to 6 tbh. The marginal increase in difficulty decreases as you take more AP’s.

Oh and make sure you’re actually interested in the subject. Not all colleges will accept credits so that’s not much of a factor.

What do you want to major in at college?
Do you have time consuming ECs?
WHat APs did you take this year?
What were your grades?

If you are a STEM major:

  1. Are you interested in further Spanish? Have you taken Span 4 already?
  2. Do you need APUSH? Will Honors history be okay?
