I applied to NYU through HEOP awhile back and I recieved an email a few weeks back and I was wondering if I should take this as a good sign or if it is generic and sent to everyone else.
The email reads:
"Dear [Name Redacted],
Our admission committee is finalizing the review of your application for admission. This communication is simply to determine if you have already committed to attend another college or university through a binding Early Decision program.
Please click below if you need to withdraw your application to NYU:
YES - I do want to withdraw my application from NYU. I have committed to attend another institution under a binding agreement or I am no longer interested in NYU. I understand that by withdrawing my application I will NOT receive an admissions decision from NYU on April 1.
You do not need to respond to this email and you do not need to reiterate your interest in NYU.
Sincerely,
Shawn L. Abbott
Dean of Admissions"
Thanks!
P.S. Best of luck to everyone on Apr. 1st I hope you all get in
