Hi, Im a high school senior and I will be attending college this fall. I have always been more of an Economics/Business/English/Sociology kinda person. I never really paid attention to the sciences and to be honest, I don't even know the first five elements of the periodic table. I've always wanted to major in something like Economics or finance or business but lately, the idea of going to med school and becoming a doctor has really begun to appeal to me. Now I'll be honest with ya'll, the awesome income associated with a career in medicine certainly has something to do with this sudden arousal of interest in a subject that I had once vowed never to study again. Now can you please give me an honest and realistic opinion of my chances of doing well in undergrad pre-med and getting into a good medical school? My plans of majoring in something business/ economics related is still there and I will probably major in econ or finance anyway, but it would be great to know whether my dreams of becoming a doctor is at all possible.

Btw, as I have told you before, I am pretty much BLANK when it comes to science. I dropped all my science subjects after grade 10 and the little amount of wat I learnt in grade 9 and 10 has mostly been forgotten. Therefore, I will be starting from scratch if I decide to major in pre med. Will the first/ introductory classes in college cover the basics of science or will they start with some kind of advanced theory? I am mainly worried that I won't be able to understand a thing they teach in college because all my other classmates will be way ahead of me in terms of science related things they have learnt in high school. Will it be like that? I would say that I am pretty good in the humanities and social sciences and when I looked at the introductory courses for Economics they taught in college, I knew almost everything. I have studied it all in high school. Will it be the same with the sciences? Will the introductory classes teach all the basics of bio, phy and chem?

Looking forward to your replies.
