Should I take yearbook?? (Please help)

I will be starting my freshman year this next school year and as of now I’m taking the following as my electives:

PAP Computer Science
PE
Spanish
3D Modeling and Animation

I’m happy with my current electives. However, I really do enjoy photography. I guess what I’m feeling is that I’m supposed to be getting involved with photography at my school. (I’m planning on starting a photography club). But I feel it’s expected of somebody who enjoys photography to join yearbook.

Let me also explain, that at my school, in order to take yearbook, you need to have taken photojournalism or journalism as a prerequisite. I would choose photojournalism if I decided to do yearbook.

I’m not really sure how I feel about the journalism aspect of the yearbook but I do know I love photography.

If I take photojournalism in my 9th grade year, I would be able to do yearbook the other three. If I take photojournalism in 10th grade, I would only be able to do two years of yearbook.

What do I do??? (P.S, I’m perfectly fine with taking photojournalism in 10th grade and year book 11th and 12th (If I do decide I want to take yearbook) but I’m not sure how colleges will view my absence of a year of yearbook).

Colleges will be fine if you take Photojournalism in 1àth and Yearbook in 11 and 12.
What they care about is that you take English and social sciences, all 4 years, Foreign Language through level 3 or 4, Math through precalculus or calculus, biology, chemistry, and physics (and, depending on the state, art).

like @MYOS1634 says, the first thing to think about is that you have English, Science, Social Studies, Math and Foreign Language courses. Then see which electives you can fit in.

Colleges won’t care that you only did 2 or 3 years of yearbook.
So maybe don’t take Animation, and do Photojournalism now?
