Should I transfer?

I have been debating transferring from my university. I got into UT Austin when I was applying to schools, but I chose a different school to be closer to home. Now I’ve been here for a year and I don’t have much of a social life. I live in the dorms, but the school is a major commuter school, so I’ve found it difficult to make friends. I’ve been very involved in clubs and organizations, and even went greek, but I still end up with nothing to do on weekends and eating most of my meals alone. I didn’t go home at all at first, but now I go home almost every weekend because I’m lonely. What should I do? Should I transfer to UT or should I just try harder to make friends here?
