Should I transfer?

I wish to be admitted to a Dental school by the end of my four years of Undergrad. schooling. Though my school boasts about its reputation for its students gaining admission to various prestigious schools, it rather shies away when it comes to dental schools. This is quite evident from one of their statements online, "Students have also gained admission to schools of dentistry and optometry." Not very reassuring, to say the least.
In addition, it is not a well known school, at least not for science. It is a small liberal arts school in the bronx. So, i do not know how that would reflect in the admissions process. Maybe it has no effect, i don't know. If you have some insight about that, please share it with me.
As for me, I am doing very well, my GPA is quite good, and i am in the position of being two courses ahead of my fellow pre-health peers.
My question is, should i transfer to a school that is better known for its science departments? And perhaps one that has a dentistry school associated with it, like NYU or Tufts?

Well, now that you are actually AT the school, why don't you go beyond what it says online. I would suggest you meet with the pre-professional adviser, your adviser or other appropriate person. Ask specifically what the track record is for those applying to dental school from your school, for individuals of your caliber.
