Okay CC, it is now that time of the year where us seniors start applying for schools and pray for the best.

I'm a florida resident, who will get my A.A. (in liberal arts) when I graduate.
I love love business, so i will probably get my bachelors in economics there if I could get in. Then on to an MBA with a focus in accounting or international economic development.
My GPA is currently at a 3.5 weighted. It is my weakest stat.

I'm low income, which consists of only my stepfather working, and it is only at about 35,000 a year. I will be a first-generation student. I work around 25 hours per week to supplement family income.

I'm going to take the SAT's in october, I'm confident in my college writing, algebraic skills, hoping for 1900+.

EC's: I'm a school ambassador representing my school in the community, I'm also the treasurer for the Student Government. I played trumpet in a jazz ensemble, and helped fund money for the band after our director passed.

Community Service: CS hours for band, running and helping coach sports teams, running my school orientation.

I was invited and attended a leadership conference hosted by the University of South Florida, I was known as an 'emerging leader'.

I am going to get rec's from a counselor who I work with for student government, and a former algebra teacher who worked for NASA as an engineer and has family that has attended Wharton in the past.

Problem is with my GPA. Do you think I should try or is my fate pretty much set in stone?
I'm also attempting to take the Literature and World History SAT II's, maybe even a math one.
