Should I use my common app essay for columbia

I used the common app prompt-describe an ethical issue you faced and how it impacted you.
I spent a month working on it and I know I can't write anything nearly as good.
This is the columbia prompt
Write an essay which conveys to the reader a sense of who you are. Possible topics may include, but are not limited to, experiences which have shaped your life, the circumstances of your upbringing, your most meaningful intellectual achievement, the way you see the world - the people in it, events great and small, everyday life - or any personal theme which appeals to your imagination. Please remember that we are concerned not only with the substance of your prose but with your writing style as well. We prefer that you limit yourself to approximately 250-500 words (or 1-2 pages)
I have one premade for columbia, but it isn't as creative as my common ap.

Anyone? Please answer my question honestly

Hello CC!!!

Why not? If you spent that much time and it fits the requirements go for it.

 • On another note, do you submit that essay online? I am done with the application but I have not seen a spot to put the essay in.

-nvm… its on application 2 lol

No problem. Sounds like your essay works for the prompt. No need to reinvent the wheel. Recycling essays is good use of your time.
