Hi! I'm new to the forums and I'm sorry if someone has already asked this but I have heard that people applying to CMC who live in southern California are pretty much expected to come visit. Is this statement true? And if so, would it affect my chances of admission in this school?
I have just found interest in this school a couple of weeks back and I found that all interview sessions were over. Should I go and take the student guided tour or the Information session?
Thanks for all of your help in advance! I really appreciate it.

Can anyone help me out?

It wouldn’t hurt to go take a student tour. Some colleges take note of one’s interest in the school (so they don’t feel as if they’re safeties/just applied to “for the heck of it”). A way to show a college you’re interested would be to take a campus tour.

Hence, just going for an Information Session/Campus Tour can, not guarantee, but at least very slightly, improve admissions chances by showing that you as an applicant are not just dismissing the school as a presumed safety or a school you applied on out of a whim. Plus, I don’t know if that statement is true, but if you are expected to visit, you might as well just in case. Better to be safe than sorry.

If you live in SoCal, I would definitely recommend going and visiting CMC! For one, it’s an absolutely beautiful campus and it’ll help you fall in love with the school even more. For another, the tour I took was actually extremely helpful and informational – it really helped me figure out more about the school. And because I’m almost positive there’s a space on your application where you can put that you’ve visited and toured, it certainly can’t hurt. I have no idea if you’re expected to visit or not, but it definitely cannot hurt. I was only casually interested in the 5Cs until I went and saw them, but now I’m all but obsessed.
