I have been admitted ED and I was wondering whether I should withdraw applications from schools to which I have not sent in my common app or the main application. But I have submitted pre-application and my teachers and guidance counselors have sent in the recommendations. The colleges will have a file opened for me, right? But do they review my application without even receiving all parts of the application ? If they don't, probably they will cancel my application. So, do I still have to withdraw?

You don't have to, but just sending an e-mail saying you got in ED elsewhere and you are not going to apply might be helpful so that they don't wait (and call or e-mail you) for the main app.

Send a letter to withdraw your application, and send an email.

Isn't an email sufficient?Do I still have to send a letter?
