From what I read at CB, the annual cost for an international is like $28,500. And they give $9,100,000 in financial aid to 1,000 international undergraduates. That would approximate $9,100 for each.
This means I would have to pay $19,400. This is so scary!
My parents annuity is like $20,000 and sincerely they can't afford more than $8,000-$10,000 a year.
Provided that, UT admits me and I am very qualified, with SAT 2200+(1400+ CR+MR) and Subject SATs 700+ each... and so on. Might I ever make it financially?
I mean, this aid that UT gives, is distributed equally to all? Everyone gets $9,100 and that's it!

Please share your experiences or anything you know regarding this.

no, the fin aid is not distributed equally to everyone. if you have more need, then you might get more than that. but, that aid aslo include loans so it not all free. also, if you applied for some scholarships, you may get that. usuallly international students get less. and again, it just varies. see what they give you. if it is too much of a hardship for your parents, you do have back-ups right?
and you're applying for next year, right? things may change next year. see how much they give to internationals this year.

Honestly, if you're looking for great FA, UT just might not be the school for you. UT is known for being stingy. I'd suggest looking into other schools with amazing FA- USC, UNC, etc.

@annn: Yeah, I have also been considering that. I have checked a few liberal arts colleges which are usually generous. What school do you particularly suggest ?

@ilovebusiness: Oh that's sweet. :) I was born, raised and am still living in Tirana. What about you? What's you story?

Oh i'm sorry-- UNC FA is not available for international student. Keep in mind to not just go by on the "average" FA as everyone's financial status is different. Look for the schools that meet 100% FA.
