Should quadruplet brothers apply to the same prestigious universities?

So when can I buy the movie tickets? :))

Being a triplet, I can say that it isn’t necessary to apply to all the same schools. I think being a triplet/quadruplet will add an interesting point to your apps and I did include it in one of my essays for UCs. But, I think it is not necessary to apply to the same places. It would be fun though and like infinite bragging rights if say your brother with a lower score or different EC etc. got in and another doesn’t. (which may cause for sibling competition, which is fun as it is stressful :P) We applied to many of the same schools (my sister and I who are academically similar - my brother is not and doesn’t qualify for more prestigious schools), but not because of each other, rather but for ourselves. That being said, it will be fun to see which of us get in where and should be similarly fun for you

^^my alma mater. Congrats. Truly a great opportunity!

Wishing you and your siblings all the best, @angelkitty247!

I keep thinking about your parents, guys. They must be so excited and reticent at the same time! The house will be so different without 4 BOYS/MEN. The grocery shopping will be alot easier!

Maybe your parents want to join that empty nest thread in the parents forum! They are going to miss you all so much.

Is there any chance your parents had another set of quadruplets so I already have something to look forward to next yeah? Haha. I am extremely envious of your relationship with your siblings and also a little jealous with the great college choices ahead of you! Good luck! I really hope you get into Princeton with great FA!

Do you guys have any other siblings?

No, @brantly, we don’t have any older siblings, and Lord knows my parents stopped when they had 4 at the same time! :))

Speaking of parents, do mind telling us what your parents are like? I have one child and it’s hard enough staying on top of her and keeping track of her upcoming tests and everything that I can’t imagine how your parents were able to make sure all 4 of you were doing everything you needed to be doing. If I had to guess, the 4 of you are very self-motivated, but you have parents with very high expectations. Am I right?

@Tobster18 You and me both - the excitement, the drama of this thread!

@citymama9 when we were young they were def hard on us, but once we got to high school, they eased off-- they haven’t checked our grades or anythjng since junior high. So I guess them being tough when we were kids payed off in the end! (Maybe they DO know best?)

@UofMichigan1999 I really hope I get into Pton too (I’m the only one who applied)! But, even if I don’t- it’s alright cuz we’ve already got several great options, and it looks like Georgetown is gonna affordable after all.

Stop the press! A teenager has admitted his parents were right! Love it!

Digging this story @NikkuWadde and @Mr.Me. Tell us where the other brothers get in too.

Let’s start a petition to get the other two brothers on CC

I’ve also going to chime in to say I’ve been loving this thread. I give the four of you so much credit. Being smart and hardworking is great, but you also display great personal attributes of being supportive of one another, positive, appreciative, and gracious. I am so impressed that instead of moving as a pack, that you have each carved out your own area of interest. Kudos to the four of you. You deserve all the good news you have received – hopefully with more to come.

And kudos to your parents as well. It sounds like they did an amazing job of teaching you to be sportive of one another but at the same time to each be your own man. I imagine that their hearts are busting with pride – not just because of the schools you got into but more importantly because of the fine young men you have grown into. Bear in mind that next year will be a tremendous adjustment for your parents with the four of your leaving at once, so be aware of that, keep in regular touch with them, and if you can, thank them for everything they have done for you and let them know you love them (as a mom I will tell you that means the world).

Looking forward to hearing more from you…

And their parents!

@GnocchiB yes!!

Hi, everyone! I’m not sure why we received the letters at different times, but the engineering brother has been admitted to Cornell as well! For the sake of accuracy, the letters I’m talking about aren’t our official acceptance letters—we received early notification of our admissions decisions via an invitation to participate in Cornell’s Diversity Hosting program (he and I are the only two who applied).

And don’t worry, @NikkuWadde and I are working to get our other two brothers active on this thread!

Far above Cayuga’s waters…hail all hail Cornell. Great school. When the other ivy choices surface, don’t forget this great opportunity as well!!

Admitted to Carnegie Mellon!
