Son is applying to a few colleges EA. GC submitted his transcript to colleges in September. But presumably b/c of changes in the composition of his senior class (kids moving in/out of the district?), his class rank has improved since then. It’s slight, but he’s now (just barely) within the top 10% of the class, whereas he wasn’t on the transcript the GC submitted. My understanding is that whether an applicant is or is not in the top 10% matters significantly to some colleges. Should son ask GC to submit new transcript to colleges? His HS uses Naviance, so presumably it wouldn’t be much of an inconvenience.
