Should we do away with chance threads on this forum

<p>darn, I just lost a post. well, here is about what I said.</p>

<p>I wouldn’t be averse to getting rid of the things. here is one reason why they could be useful:</p>

<p>last year I got in early decision, and after that came out, I read every single post where people filled out their stats and their results. mostly I was being immature (like, omg, does anyone have a higher SAT score than me??) but I do believe I absorbed some useful information. I have a slightly better idea of what chances look like for a CC-visiting Cornell applicant, recalling last year’s SAT scores and other information. I would never chance any other school because I haven’t looked over the information like I have for here.</p>

<p>nevertheless, one can just look up the SAT information in a number of places. why should you trust my memory?</p>
