Showing interest

Does Barnard know when you visit/tour/spend a day there & interview on campus?

I heard its good to show interest, but would you have to mention this on your app (that you did all that ) or would they somehow know? I don’t see how they’d remember though?

and btw, what are other ways to let them know that you’re very interested.

thanks everyone.

I am pretty sure that when you visit you sign in. I know we did when we went with our daughter and toured the campus and she had her interview during her senior year of HS. Now whether or not the admissions office actually gets that info or not, I really do not know.

one way that i demonstrated interest was by doing their summer program. they say this does not count towards admissions to the college, but it was helpful in terms of getting a feel for the school and the city, and in that when i wrote my short answers i was able to really demonstrate that i had experienced living at the school and knew that i would thrive there. also, you take classes with barnard professors, and one wrote me a great rec. if you really want to go to barnard, look into their pre college programs.
