Showing Interest?

Hi everybody. So my top choice school is Dickinson College, a small private LAC, and I have heard (both on this site and their own) that they take “demonstrated interest” quite seriously. So far I’ve:
-been on a tour (campus is in PA, i’m from VA btw)
-attended an info session
-emailed my admission rep twice with questions
-emailed with a professor
-I plan to do an on-campus interview in the fall
-I also plan to attend a class

I’m going to be applying early decision 1. My grades/stats are only a little higher than average, but I know how much demonstrated interest plays a role at Dickinson. Do you think there’s anything else I can do to show interest? Maybe tips on how to show it in the interview? I honestly love this school so much, and I really want them to know that!

Thanks!

I don’t really know anything about Dickinson in particular, but I think that in any interview you definitely have a lot of opportunity to show your interest in the school! Generally interviews aren’t a very important component of the application, but the fact that it’s on campus suggests that it MIGHT be with someone in the admissions office, which could give it a little more weight (maybe).

With that being said, I think the best thing you can do in your interview is show your passion for the school! If you’re really interested in a certain area of study (which I assume you are, since you emailed a professor) talk about that and don’t be afraid to namedrop the professor you have talked with and reference anything he has done that you are interested in. Based on what you said, my biggest advice to you would be to let your love for the school shine through! Good luck!

I think interest is what you listed above in addition to the interview and the essays.
One essay is “Why Dickinson” so you have to make sure that it is good.
Maybe subscribe to their newsletter? Honestly I think you have already done everything you basically could have.
