Lets say I want to attend the college of biological sciences in St. Paul campus, but I wanna live in a dorm in the minneapolis campus. Can I even do that? And is there a shuttle that connects these two campuses?
And also do you anyone that actually lives in one campus but goes to another for study?

Yes, there is a shuttle route that connects the two campuses. The shuttles run every 5-10 minutes for most of the day, and take 15-20 minutes to get there. It is very common to live on one campus, and have classes on another. Here is a link: [University of Minnesota - Parking and Transportation Services](http://www1.umn.edu/pts/bus/connectors.html)

While it is true that the College of Biological Sciences (CBS) is technically located on the St. Paul campus, you will find that the vast majority of your classes will be on the East Bank campus … especially in your first two years. I looked at a sample four year program, and there are a total of 3 courses that are only offered on the St. Paul campus.

Minneapolis also has an excellent Metro system, in case you find yourself in dorm that’s inconvenient for the shuttle (namely, Sanford).

I agree that Metro bus system is good. But, according to the new maps (effective May 2011), the campus connector bus now stops right in front of Sanford Hall. It seems that the routes have changed a lot due to construction of the new light rail system.
