Does anyone know if having a sibling currently enrolled plays a role in the admission decision? I am fairly comfortable in my qualifications but could be on the bubble if the field is as large as I hear. On the application they ask if any family members currently attend. That suggests to me that they take it into account.

I think it definitely plays a factor - I know they definitely take alumni relationships into account and if they ask that question, that means they’ll probably extend that to siblings as well. It won’t help you get in if you have have poor grades/test scores but it will help you out if many people have similar stats as you.

27 ACT
1790 SAT
OOS (Go Pats!!)
3.70 GPA
Very good EC’s
Awesome teacher rec
Above avg essay, though not best part of app

Thoughts Pierre?

Are you from Massachusetts? (I’m from Belmont, MA - PS who’s your sibling at Clemson? I know a bunch of people here haha)

Anyways, essays, extracurriculars and teacher recommendations aren’t too important but do count. Your ACT/SAT scores are on the low end but your GPA is fine (usually need a A-/B+ average to be considered). You’ve definitely got a shot but I wouldn’t by any means say that you’re definitely gonna get accepted. Good luck!
