sick and final exam in two days

Hi, I have math final exam in Thursday morning and I got flu yesterday. ( its Tuesday morning here now). I have contacted my professor but no make-up exam possible and F (<50%) means failed class and I need to pass. I take Paralen, and I drink tea with lemon, ginger and honey and I eat fruit to get vitamins. How can I get fit in such short time (only two days)?

If you’re on the internet, you’re not feeling the full effect yet. Usually it hurts me to see computers, TVs or lights. Can you get to a doctor and get Tamiflu? It is supposed to cut the term of the illness significantly.

Go to the on-campus health center, tell them you need some documentation to support an incomplete. Petition for an Incomplete or Withdraw. DO NOT ATTEND THE FINAL EXAM unless you will live with the score!!

This is what incompletes are for. You are doing well in the class, but something goes terribly awry at the last minute.
Talk to your advisor or Dean of Students or the Health Center and ask what to do.

I agree that you should definitely go see a doctor on your campus. If you have documentation of having the flu then it should be brought to your professor or the head of the math department. I mean if I was in a room with another student who has the flu I wouldn’t want them in there. I mean they would just be spreading it around. I would get an appointment as soon as possible at the health center. In the meantime, contact the head of the math department and explain the situation. If they are smart they will allow you to take the test another time.

Thanks everyone for advices. For my suprise our university campus don’t include health center, so I visit hospital and according to Doc its only common cold. And I fell bit better now and one day remains so I think that I’ll just go and write that exam. And I talked to my advisor and at our uni things like incomplete or withdraw later than second week of semestr don’t exist

That is strange. I had to take incompletes in a couple of classes twice…one time I got pneumonia at the end of the semester and one time Iwas in a car accident. I finished the classes I could and took an incomplete in the others. I came back at the beginning of the next semester and took the finals and then was given a grade for the course.
