I am taking IB music (SL not HL as I thought doing HL digresses too much from the main academic subjects in general) and was wondering if that may be a plus factor when applying. I got a 7 in my final report in junior year and am assuming that will be my predicted IB grade (comes out next week I think) Will my IB music course show a consistency in my love with music?? (I've performed in about 30 different concerts and festivals)

Sorry if I sound quite braggy T.T but I am really curious about this.

I think that as long as you’ve been consistent with taking challenging core academic subjects then IB Music probably should look pretty good. Especially when you consider the fact that you’re expecting to get a 7 and have numerous outside activities to back up your passion for music (concerts, festivals). Although this is just my assumption. I’m in somewhat of a similar state. I took AP Studio Art last year and got a 5. Plus I have numerous outside activites that relate to my passion for art. I don’t think that our effort to incorporate an interest/talent into our academic schedule and excel in it should go unnoticed it.
