Erm. Predicted IB grades won’t carry much weight – at all. Your school must have some equivalent for GPA (perhaps a 100-scale?) and if you’re unranked you’ll have to at least give a % (at the top of the class). Your SATs are fine for an international, and your ECs look good as well; you truly have an international background, which is a plus. I think it’ll come down to how well you convey your interests in your essays, and – perhaps even more importantly – the quality of the other applicants coming from your country (Switzerland?). Also be sure not to apply for financial aid, because if so, your chances will be slim.

I should be able to ask the school for a ranking, however, there is no 100 scale or GPA as i go to a British school. We only have the IB diploma, which perhaps can be turned into a GPA??.. i’m not sure
what do other internationals with no GPA or 100 pt scale do??
I will not be applying for any financial aid, and i am applying from the U.A.E, Dubai, so i think that is an advantage as the competition is not as fierce as it is in other countries, and i dont think many (who i know) are actually applying to Stanford.
As for essay skills, i think i am a decent writer (english HL) so that should be OK…

bump (10char) :)
