Significant raises in score- Suspicion?

Alright, so i took the sat last year and recieved a 550 on my math section, and was totally dismayed. Ive taken numerous practice tests over the year and got help from teachers and friends, and have got my average math score to a 750. My question is, will collegeboard be suspicious if they see such an increase?

Of course not. I bet you tons of students get whipped into SAT shape after being apalled by the first score.

i was shocked from my sophmore year psat score, so when they see a significant increase in the junior year score, they besta' not be's shocked

Collegeboard will not be suspicious, and based on your socioeconomic background colleges may or may not be a bit suspicious. What i mean by this is that if you are from a wealthy family, colleges may suspect that you payed for an SAT class/tutor/both but if your not as wealthy they wont. Either way, congrats on the increase-it def. wont matter to collegeboard and the suspicion in the admissions room will be way too small to be a deciding admission factor.

No, I have seen some fairly high increases (sick first time, health the second time) that didn't get a peep out of College Board. The colleges just count your highest scores, period. (More on that second point by request.)

I think I am going to be an example for jumping I got very low for first sat and now I am preparing hard...so let's see...I will keep you updated but it is like 6 months from now....

what are they going to say...you studied too much? THey've got nothing.

Here's a thread from one year ago that has parents discussing an ETS "administrative review" for a score increase greater than 349 points.

Cory123 did not understand you but are you trying to say that it will be counted as something suspicious?

What about this I call college board and ask them right away right now ...let me do that....

Well I called on this number

What they said is that if there is a significant raise they will put a hold on the score.. and they will make sure it is legitimate by asking the proctor whether the person did everything correctly or not....if you did it correctly you will get your score....(the agent name was cristopher sorry if mispelled)

Also this article I found from the thrad someone mentioned earlier which is reall in depth and made me feel secure since I will give exam later this year and I am expecting a good jump because of my hardwork.
