Im just starting to look into womens colleges. I really was not looking at an all womens college to begin with because I was worried about interacting with guys, but does anyone have any info on the social life at Simmons or an all womens college for that matter? Ive heard its better at simmons because it's in Boston around other coed schools but I still feel like it might be more of a problem because i dont know what the social life is like there. Any other opinions on Simmons would be cool too :) thanks!

Hi,
I’m a Simmons grad from a long time ago. I wasn’t looking for a women’s college and Simmons was the only one I applied to. I was looking for a really good academic experience. I found it at Simmons. I liked not having guys in my classes. I liked becoming really close friends with a bunch of women, a number of whom I am still friends with in my grown-up life. I wouldn’t jump at the chance to go to an all women’s college in the middle of nowhere, but Boston is just different. People met guys at “mixers” at Harvard, MIT, Harvard Law School (just naming a few I went to) and there were tons of people “fixing up” people through people they knew at the various Boston colleges and universities.
