<p>This thread is for all the people who got accepted to Stony Brook University's Simons Summer Research Fellowship Program!</p>

<p>Please indicate where you're from and possibly leave AIM so we could get to know each other before the program!!</p>

<p>Whooo!! it's gonna be fun!</p>

I'm Shikha (pronounced sheek-uh) from Boston, Mass!
Is anyone staying on campus/finding a roomate/know what the campus is like?</p>

<p>I'm doing molecular genetics and microbiology and its pretty much a continuation of what I research at UMass and Mass General Hospital.
And I'm Indian in case you couldn't tell.

are any of you guys also doing garcia...i was accepted into there also but i dont understand the purpose of doing both...</p>

doing both is basically doing simons program, but placed in the Garcia lab.
whats your AIM sn?
I hope to get the Simons participants know each other...right now there's 4 (including myself)</p>

<p>Wow, when I googled "Simons Program" I was not expecting to find a thread.
I'm working with Dr. Ojima in Chemistry...is anyone else NOT dorming? I'm a little worried about the train schedules, I have a way to get there but I'll be there at 8 and I guess that means I'll have nothing to do for an hour...lame.</p>
