Simple Project Management Tools

Looking for suggestions for low-cost/free project management software for beginners. Looking to organize a months-long, one-person project with about 6 interlocking tasks, all of which have some subtasks. Software that is geared towards a visual-learning style probably best.

The ones I am seeing are for project management that involves multiple people, which is a more complex interface than would be helpful here. Looking for simplicity!

My husband recommends Monday dot com. He says it was very intuitive with minimal self-learning needed to get going. See if there is a free trial.

Also, he says he has used Trello Board which is pretty visual. Not sure about the cost because it was a company-wide license.

Thanks! It looks like Monday.com might work!

I haven’t used it, but I took a project management course through Berkeley’s extension program, and the professor mentioned https://www.projectlibre.com/ as a free alternative to Microsoft Project. Might not be what you’re looking for (the ramping up might be a good bit of work), but I figured I’d pass it along.

Check out Trello for visual “post it” notes to visualize (you can attach and link stuff to the cards. Free for limited use

Also heard good things about Asana

For projects with others I love Basecamp. Very intuitive and free up to a point.
