SIMR 2013 Stanford Inst. of Med. Summer Research Program

LOL should probably get started on those essays.

Is anyone else having trouble uploading documents onto the app? What does it mean when it says, “link”? Because when I click on the “link” it takes me back to the “open folder” popup.

Also, when I save my application with uploaded files, and then log back in a few minutes later, it says I didn’t upload any files. Is this supposed to happen?

The site was down this morning, and they fixed it later.
I just uploaded a file successfully.

For uploading SAT score reports, do we upload the entire unofficial score report (10 pages) or can we just take a screen shot of the front page (the page that appears when you press “understand your performance”)?

@fireroy830
I emailed SIMR and they said:
“Yes, a screenshot of your scores should be fine.
thanks,
SIMR Staff”

i uploaded the whole score report - idk i submitted like a crap load of documents and it still fit under 2mbs

Anyone who still hasn’t submitted? Lol suckaaasss

Writing my essays now… Woo procrastination!

A screenshot of each section should probably be fine @darkfox32

Writing my app now lol.

First essay is mostly finished. On to my second…

If anyone wants, I can read over your essays

Aaaah is anyone else having trouble uploading docs/ general slow-ness of the app right now???

How do you screenshot the score and have it be PDF/JPG/TIFF format? Step by step instructions for a noob please :)

Hey guys, my files are over 2MB and won’t upload. What do I do?

@raptor2000, that’s probably because everyone’s trying to upload their stuff right around now…

@wolverines965, you can use GraphicConverter or “Save as” to have the file be a different file type/extension

@fireroy830, you can use GraphicConvertor or “Save as” to decrease the quality until it becomes less than 2 MB. Wait, 2 MB? I thought it was 1 MB. One of my files was 1 MB and I couldn’t upload it…

you can use adobe acrobat pro x to save as a reduced sized pdf - that’s what i did, but i dunno if reader will do it

to screen shot you press the print screen button on the page you wanna screenshot and then ctrl+v into paint or whatever editing program you have - then you crop the photo and save

SUBMITED.
Mites, RSI, SSP, SIMR and Rockefeller :D

About done with the app. Will be submitting soon. Good luck, everyone!
