Since Harvard doesn't take AP credits, whose not sweatin' about the next two weeks?

YAY!!! I mean, unless I activate Advanced Standing, which I won't do. Whose being a bit more relaxed than they were the previous years about AP exam studying? Yes, I know about the placement exams for Math if you get a 4 or 5 on AP Calc BC or the AP Language exams (but I rather take the subject test for it, or learn it at Harvard for a language citation since I heard the Harvard language departments are super good!) Yay! Go Hahvahd!

Me! I haven’t done homework in about a week. So behind and so… well, I could care less. Hopefully I have a serious attitude check before the fall.

I took 6 APs classes my senior year and 0 AP exams. That’s the way to be.

D has 6 senior year APs. Her high school paid in return for her taking them all. Now she’s conflicted because she’s behind in her regular classroom work due to April college and scholarship trips. Great scores won’t help her, but her school is counting on them. The dilemma: study for exams or complete make-up assignments. She’s super, but not super-human!

[Advanced Standing: General Information](http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~advising/advanced/general.html#4)

Harvard does not grant Advanced Standing for 4’s.

“Credit toward graduation is granted for Advanced Placement examinations only if the student activates Advanced Standing, but advanced placement work is acknowledged in a variety of other ways. For example, a score of 5 on an AP exam often satisfies the prerequisite for middle- or upper-level departmental courses, permitting a student to begin advanced work early in his or her college career. Whether or not a student accepts Advanced Standing, a score of 5 on the German, French (language or literature), Italian, Spanish (language or literature), or Latin (either Latin Literature or Latin: Vergil) Advanced Placement tests may be used to fulfill the language requirement. A score of 7 on a higher-level International Baccalaureate exam in certain languages may also be used to fulfill the language requirement. Most medical schools accept a score of 4 or 5 on the Calculus BC exam as fulfillment of their math requirement, but only the score of 5 will count towards Advanced Standing eligibility at Harvard College. Students planning to come to Harvard are accordingly encouraged to study the following information carefully, to take all College Board Advanced Placement Examinations that are appropriate, and to send all official score reports to the Registrar’s Office.”

… and who said otherwise?

^^^ Icon2015 said otherwise in his/her initial post:

“… I know about the placement exams for Math if you get a 4 or 5 on AP Calc BC or the AP Language exams …”

That comment is not about advanced standing.

Quick grammar lesson: “Whose” is the possessive form of the word. You’re looking for “who’s”, short for “who is”.

(Sorry to be a *****, but if you’re going to Harvard, you should know the difference)

Worddd…^^
