Does anyone have any tips on getting a single room? How does the selection process work? I have heard that it's a lotter and also that it's on a first come first serve basis after sbmittng your nonbinding housing contract.

^Did you submit your housing contract?

Its a lottery system. I got a single and I turned in my housing contract very late compared to everyone else.

At orientation, they told us that they would go based on when people turned in the housing contract. All the people I know who turned it in late ended up in triples. That being said, this was for the c/o 2012 so maybe they changed it last year.

i dont even know if i want a single. having a roommate makes you more social

Even if you have a single you’ll be as social as you want, it doesnt matter if you have a single or triple. At the end of the day, it just depends on the effort that you make

Turned it in early, got a single.

If I could do it again, I’d just get a triple to save the money. I ended up in a double and there was a ridiculous amount of space, especially compared to the rooms at other colleges.
