Single Occupancy vs. Double Occupancy vs. Triple Occupancy

I am a shy girl who is not interested in sex or partying in college, but wants to open up more and find more friends. I don't want to lock myself in my room being the only one residing in it. I also don't want to live too nosily.

What kind do you live in?
Which may be the best dorm for me?

Double. If you’re in a single you won’t leave except for class. In a triple, since you’re shy, you’ll probably not get too close with the other 2.

I’m in a triple and it’s good for me since I get along with both my roommates, but I agree that you should get a double and try to get a roomie that’s also shy so you can rely on each other kind of.

I’m in a double. Since you’re shy and don’t want to be completely alone, I’d recommend a double. There’s too much potential for conflict in a triple, given your parameters of no partying and not a lot of noise.

i kind of have the same concern. but assuming u, too, are really into your privacy/personal space, would it not be wise to opt for a single? or would that make it impossible to make friends? :/

At all costs avoid a single. A triple is better but not as good as a double. Having a roommate will force you to open up and it will help your shyness.

I’d go with the cheapest. At my school a single costs $5,000 more than a double, which already has insanely inflated prices. Having privacy isn’t worth more debt or strain on my parents to me.

Wow…

double, for the same reasons already said.
