Minute into 2nd half.
Beavers 30. Ducks 21.
Go Bennie

OSU 33, Oregon 34. near end of 3rd.
both teams are fighting.
What A Game.

^^Much more exciting than the Apple Cup!

Miller is not beer.

Barkeep, a round on me! Beer all around! No, make it champagne!

Bearcats beat Pittsburgh for the BCS Championship! Wooo–hoooo! :D

I’m so happy for them and for the kids in the band, who get to go to another cool place. Sugar bowl, I think.

Cincy are the Big East champs, not the BCS champs. That doesn’t happen till January. What a nail-biter of a game, eh? After the first half, I thought it was over.

So allow me to propose a compromise, mommusic: Miller High Life, The Champagne of Beers! (Says so right on the label. They couldn’t say it if it wasn’t true.)

Right. I knew that (even tho I know very little about football, I knew that.)

And I’m having a Sam Adams dark something or other. :)

The person in our extended family who cares most about football is, sadly for him, from Pittsburgh.

:D

GO GATORS!!! (Time to pick up the pace a bit or I’ll need to puyll out that beer bong hat)

pulling my people up from page 5 (arrrghhh).

barkeep, something nice and hot because it is really cold outside.

Right. C-O-L-D. Fortunately, we don’t have to actually go anywhere to go to the Alley. :)

Son’s car better start this morning or he’s taking the bus. Cause I ain’t going out there. Staying inside with my hot tea.

Oh, and if you’ve been following the Bearcat coach will he or won’t he saga…sigh.

Have fun at Notre Dame, BK.

I understand how these things work, but am disappointed he didn’t tell the players first, as he ASSURED them he would. Guess it’s a life lesson for them. Don’t trust someone any farther than you can throw them.

Pass the beer.

Are you sure he didn’t tell the players first? Yesterday I read that he was having a closed-door meeting with the team to discuss his “status with respect to Notre Dame,” and I assume that means he told them he was leaving Cincy.

That’s what we were thinking would happen, but this morning’s paper says differently. And a bunch of his players told the press, thanks a lot, coach, and don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Pfffft.

Bumping up from p.6…

Surely someone has good news on acceptances and is willing to buy a round?

We have good news but I’m waiting for the letter with the $$ in it before I celebrate. ;)

Good news here! Happy to buy a round or three, but then I’ll be tending bar as no money is on the horizon.

Huzzah!

DeniseC–good! We’ll keep your tip jar filled so your child can buy books, ok? Er, maybe one book. :D

Pulling my peeps up from page 5. For a moment, I thought they were under all of this NYC snow.

Barkeep, a hot toddy please

Thanks sybbie!–it’s deja vu all over again (you keep rescuing us!)

A little snow shouldn’t stop us from visiting our favorite virtual hot spot.

And I really should have been in here sooner…S got a nice letter with a scholarship offer on Friday! Drinks are on me!

Oh, and we also ordered the wine for other son’s wedding in January. So while our credit card is somewhat depleted, there is an ample supply of fine (well, pretty fine) wine. :)

barkeep, a glass of milk or keffir or any other calcium-rich beverage to everyone to toast VeryHappy’s victory over osteoporosis! It’s on me :)
