Yes (I think)

By the way, is it going to take a long time to fill out SIR/SLR/housing forms?

I’m still waiting for UCLA appeal result and do not want to submit SIR for UCI until I know the result

Should I wait until June 1st, should I submit SIR for UCI right now, or should I wait until the last few days before June 1st?

it is the last few days before june 1st lol

I know it is the last few days before the deadline lol

Actually, I mean should I submit SIR before this weekend in case if I have some problems with it I could ask my counselor for help…

So does the process of filling out SIR/SLR/Housing take a long time?

nah. it took me like 2 secs to do the SIR and like 5-7 mins to do the SLR since they haev SO many questions!!!
the housing takes a bit of time cause they require u to write an essay for the communities, which u HAVE to pick.

Thanks peppamintt!

By the way, is the essay for housing only for transfer?

Because my brother is a freshman and he didn’t mention anything about the essay though…

im not sure, but u’ll see when u open the housing thing.

they basically force u to pick 2 living communities, and the 2 that dont require an essay are some second yr program and transfer house.

so when u pick ur second choice, u will have to write an essay liek describing ur interest/experience with being in such a community. its easy, but annoying!!

Yeah the SLR was a nightmare. Peppamint, I think I would rather live in the transfer house but the student life house seems like a cool way to get involved at the school and participate in some extra-curriculars. I saw arroyo during the housing tour and they actually look pretty nice. Campus village seems like whatever. Vista del campo was SO NICE and it’s a shame us transfers can’t live there.

dashboard… for arroyo, is it like a dorm? coz i really dont wanna live in a place thats like a dorm all over again =/ i want kinda my own bathroom? not shared with 50 people!! thats hte only way im turning against aroyo

and yeah, i think transfer house will be more beneficial coz other communities, u never know people might alrady have their “groups” u know?? i’d prefer the transfer house honestly.

Yup arroyo is like a dorm … but you can chose (I think) how many people you want to share the house with (some have 8 rooms, some have 16, etc). Campus village you would have 3 roommates which all share the same bathroom.

i kinda prefer campus village for that reason. but if 8 rooms, mein 15 roommates thats not as bad.

do u know if theyre coed?? i still havent done a campus tour so no idea about anything =/

I have no clue if they are coed … I wanna know

i asked my friend who goes to uci, she says that arroyo vista is but campus village isnt.

that explains the two bathrooms in av?

and she said that av is really far from main campus, and cv is right on campus… idk.

Yeah arroyo isn’t super close to campus. Definitely a short drive or bike ride. I’m bringing my car to uci, I wonder what the deal with parking is…

i need to figure that out as well. i need a car as well.
