Currently, I’m an incoming junior and as you all know, with summer coming along, it’s SAT prep time!!! I am particularly concerned about my SAT score as I have just taken a practice test and I scored 1250/1600. Before this, I saw myself applying to top colleges, and my goal for the SAT was 1550/1600. But now I’m really, really, really, worried. As I have been very concerned about this, I signed myself up for an SAT prep class for 5 days a week 5 hours a day. Most people say taking SAT classes aren’t very beneficial, but as I have seen others in this program, it really does help students if you follow the curriculum and work hard with the materials. I was also hoping to take the SAT in October? My junior year course load is going to be difficult!
Today, I got off the waitlist for the Girls Who Code Summer Immersion Program. I really want to attend this program as I’ve heard wonderful things about it, you develop an app, you pitch your idea to investors, you learn how to effectively code. Girls Who Code is 5 days a week from 8am to 4pm. I’ve heard it’s a life changing experience.
In addition, I have a family trip to Alaska planned, but my family could go on that without me… that’s really the least of my worries.
So basically I have to decide between really mastering the SAT + A trip to Alaska and Girls Who Code. My heart lies in both, I am absolutely torn between these two options. All of your help is appreciated! Thank you
