We never got a chance to visit, but on paper, it seemed very nice. I think, from what little I’ve heard, it’s “liked it a lot” or “really disliked”. St. Joe’s has a wonderful business program for students interested in that, accredited and has a Wall Street Trading Room, co-ops, etc. but I don’t know if other areas are as strong. I’ve heard hesitation about the overall academic vibe outside of the honors program, I’ve heard negative views of the dorms (and lack of space for junior/seniors) and limited study abroad options were available. They do seem to have a lot of volunteer opportunities which is always nice and seem to emphasize they want students that will give back.
These reviews, were, as stated before, second-hand knowledge. They were very generous to us,in our FA package, and if my daughter was really sure about business, might have maltriculated. I wouldn’t doubt her educaton in that area.

We toured with our daughter last Saturday. She absolutely adored SJU! Where are you reading the negative reviews? I would like to see them as well. The students were not there, when we toured. I did not realize that they would not be when I made the arrangements, so we missed the “student vibe”.

Deb and Letsget this done, I would be very interested to hear more about the criticisms. Could you point me in the right direction? I am new to this and appreciate your help!

@SJUHawk - So did I, but sadly, SJU’s rival was my #1 choice. Loved the campus and everything, and it would have been nice to be a Hawk, but I couldn’t pass up the offer at a top business school, so it looks like I’ll be a Wildcat instead.

That’s too bad (just kidding, congratulations). Our rival was my first choice too but it didn’t work out. SJU was a good choice for me.

Haha thank you & no way!!! Aw that’s a bummer, we coulda been college buds or something ! What are you majoring in at SJU?

I am finished. I was bio. I was going to be a proctologist but my hands are too big. Now I am looking into teaching.

Oh wow, nice. Good luck with that !

I was accepted EA with 16,000 per year presidential scholarship.
