My son just sent in applications via Common App, has received emails confirming receipt from all schools except St Joe's. Does anyone know if St. Joe's does this? EA deadline is Nov 15th, thought I'd ask before we email admissions to confirm receipt.

My daughter also applied via common application. She applied last week. She has not mentioned receiving any acknowledgement.

And my son applied on Friday the 29th of October. Please let me know if your kids have received an acknowlegement. Thanks!

Are your kids planning to study on campus at St. Joseph’s or to get online degrees? Apparently, you can now get a degree from St. Joseph’s without ever stepping foot on campus. Technology is changing everything.

I checked with my daughter and she did, indeed, receive an acknowledgement of her application. She hit “send” for her online application on Sunday, 10/17, and the acknowlegement was dated 10/19.

It thanked her and reminded her that her application was not complete until they received…a, b, c, d, etc. All materials must be submitted by 11/15 for Early Action. Admission decision will be sent by 12/15.

Hope that helps.

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions does send out a letter of notification once we receive a student’s application. With a large amount of applications coming in for the Early Action deadline (November 15th), it does take some time for the office to process all of the applications and the supporting documents. It is best to wait about a week or so after submitting the application before checking to see if it is complete or incomplete. This will give our office time to catch up on processing and will avoid giving you any misguided information. If you would like, you are welcome to contact your son/daughter’s admissions counselor and check to see if all of their materials are in - you can find their contact information here - [SJU: College Admissions Counselors at St. Joseph’s University](http://www.sju.edu/admissions/admteam.html).

Also, in the past, we have done follow up with students and high school guidance departments to inform them of incomplete applications, giving them the chance to have their file complete in order to review for Early Action.

Thanks, my son received his letter today and a check of his common app online shows recommendations and counselor report as “downloaded by the college” so they’re working on it. Let the waiting begin!
