Application Acknowledgement?

Long story short, I sent in my application to JHU on December 14, but I have not received any confirmation from them since then. For all eight of the other schools I applied to, they allowed me to create a username and password to check on the materials of my application and such. Hopkins did not do so, nor did the school even let me know if my application has been received or not.

However, about a week after I sent in my application, they sent me a JHU information booklet, which told me how to apply. It clearly didn't mention that I had already finished applying.

Is this normal for JHU applicants? Should I have received SOMETHING? I just want to know if this is the standard procedure or if I might have done something wrong. Perhaps I'm overthinking it.

Thanks :)

My son is a sophomore at JHU and he did not get any formal acknowledgement. He also got that same booklet. About the middle of Feb he got an automated email stating he was missing something. If you are nervous call the admissions office- they will tell you whether they have your app or not.

Please read their blog, that is why they post it. [Hopkins Insider](http://blogs.hopkins-interactive.com/)

How on earth was I supposed to know JHU Admissions had a blog? It’s not exactly common knowledge.

Thank you for clearing this up though :D

It is posted ALL OVER the website! Also they have their own forum…just saying…
