Skidmore? Colgate? Others?

Hey,
I recently applied to 8 schools, of which skidmore college and colgate university are my favorites. I'm pretty confident that I'll get into Skidmore, but what are my chances at Colgate? Are there any other small, Northeastern schools that perhaps I should have applied to? I'd really appreciate any feedback! Thanks!

pleaseee help :)

skidmore is def a safety for you, don't think there is any chance you would be rejected. Colgate is a solid possibility, as you have a high satI. You might want to consider schools such as colby and bates as liberal arts targets too. Maybe Bowdoin as a reach/target.
btw...what are you're sat II's?

oh yeah i forgot to mention... i never took sat2s. Ahh. there go my other possibilities i suppose. I took the act but only got a 27. Oh noo!

Your SAT scores are about 50 pts above Colgate's average. We need to know your class rank to know if your GPA is good or not. For example, at my school, your GPA would put you outside the top 20% while at other school it could be higher.

Anyway, assuming that your GPA compares to your SAT score, you should get into Colgate. You may want to look at Bucknell, Lafayette, or Holy Cross if you are looking for matches/safeties.

I go to a very competitive school in Long Island, NY, and we only rank the top 10% of the 260-person class. The lowest of the 10% had around a 96.5 average.
