Skip the rest of high school?

Ok so ive never written anything here but i need advice… Im 16, 17 in february and a sophmore in high school. After 8th grade, i scored a 31 on the ACT but im confident i could get a 33 or a 34 atleast if i retake now that ive had a year of high school. Im stuck in classes with 14 year olds because im a military kid and transferring school systems has got me messed up and i just want to be done with high school. My school doesnt let people graduate early and they wont let me do dual enrollment until junior year. Do yall know any specific colleges that would take me at this point or have any other ideas for what i could do? I just feel so stuck and another two years sounds like an eternity . thanks.

That’s a lousy situation. Is the primary issue that you’re academically unchallenged, or that the prospect of being subject to high school rules until you’re 19 is unpalatable? I ask because those two issues have different ranges of solutions.

Do your parents have the ability and willingness to pay for any or all of: private high school, online high school, or an early college program?

Its both, but mostly the being in school until im 19. I have a social anxiety so being at school kinda sucks anyways especially when i could teach myself easier i guess. And we have a fairly low income so i doubt it. Because of military benefits i have one year of gi bill and also free tution at california community colleges but thats about the extent of it. Would it be really terrible for me to just get my ged? I know i should just stick this out but it just seems pointless

In California, you have to be within 60 days of 18 to be eligible to get a GED. So another full year, by which time you’ll be eligible for dual enrollment.

Oh ok. Thank you
