Skipping questions on SAT?

Am I doomed if I skipped/omitted around 15 questions on the math section of SAT? I'm not striving for a high score or anything; math is obviously my problem area, and I'll be happy if I can get a 530+ score on that section.

You definitely have a chance. Assuming you omitted 15 questions and got none wrong, you still could do pretty well. Looking at the curves from previous years, a raw score of 39 ranged from 610 to 630. The average score was a 610. In order to get above a 530, you need above a raw score of 29. So, you could have omitted 15 and gotten 8 wrong, and still receive a 530.

thank you so much for the awesome answer!
